The Double Life of Hugh
Nate Ruth and Colin Allen star as Hugh and Hugo, a father son mime duo. Hugh has dreams of striking out on a different path to escape his father's shadow. In the end the two must reconcile their differences and rediscover their connection.
Cast

Nathaniel Ruth as Hugh/Mime Jr.
Nathaniel Ruth is a talented high school student, and award-winning actor, with a knack for sculpture and drawing. He is a big fan of movies, and the craft behind them. Nate was making connections between Kirusowa's Seven Samurai, and Pixar's A Bug's Life by third grade. He is also a big fan of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Coming from a home with two working artists, acclaimed graphic novelist Greg Ruth, and master jeweler Jen Smith, he has spent his entire life immersed in the arts. This is Nate's third short film to date.
Colin Allen as Hugo the Mime
Colin Allen is a SAG-AFTRA actor, filmmaker, writer, and photographer residing in Shelburne, Massachusetts. His work on major films includes roles in Central Intelligence, The Equalizer 2, and Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds. Some of his independent screen acting work includes films such as The Earth Rejects Him, Last in Bloom, and Descendants-Horizon; music videos, like Tan Vampires-Into The West; and many regional commercials throughout New England. Some of his favorite theater work includes such roles as Carmen Ghia in The Producers, Peter in Bug, Ellard in The Foreigner, and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein!
